God is Faithful in the Wait

So many of our families are in a pattern of what feels like endless waiting right now. Becky Bearden, an America World China Momma, reached out with a short encouragement this week:

This morning as I was doing my Advent devotional, I was reminded how this season of waiting for the Christ Child to come is not always easy. It can take on a bittersweet quality for families who are waiting to be united with their children through adoption. We were one of those families, as we waited to travel to China and wondered if that travel date would ever come.

But God is faithful, and the time to travel finally came in His perfect timing.

Both Samuel (adopted through AWAA in 2013) and Grace (adopted through AWAA in 2017) have grown into amazing, godly kids and we can’t imagine our lives without them.

Whatever season of waiting you are in right now, please do not lose sight of the One who gives you hope and a future. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord…” Jeremiah 29:11
