Generosity, An Ocean Away
John & Julie Dochow eagerly await the day they’ll be able to travel to China to bring their 3-year-old son home. Recently, they had the opportunity to send a care package to their little boy. We were challenged and encouraged by his sweet response and thought you might be as well.
The caretakers at the orphanage shared that when he received their package, he told the other children that it was from his mom and dad and then generously shared the snacks that he had received from them.
While this little boy waits for his family, he knows that he has a mother and father coming to bring him home. Even amidst these challenging times, our commitment to our mission to care for vulnerable children around the world remains. Our prayer is that doors would continue to open for children, like this little boy, to know the love of a family.
What a sweet reminder that even in the midst of challenging times, we too can live with joyful, generous hearts and make a difference in the lives of those around us.
