Free Adoptive Couples Retreat in Oklahoma

Oklahoma families have a great opportunity to attend a free retreat for adoptive parents. Description of this event, from the Oklahoma Marriage Initiative, is:

“… we are funded through a federal grant, so all our services including the retreat are completely free! It is a 2-day, 1 night retreat held at the Embassy Suites in Norman. The presentations during the day on Saturday and Sunday will include sections from the PREP relationship curriculum as well as breakout sessions focused on families experiencing adoption. Saturday night is “date nightâ€, which includes a banquet and dance, as well as a professional picture. Couples will have time during the weekend to relax, meet other couples, and strengthen their relationship. All meals and overnight hotel stay are paid for by the retreat grant.”

Children do not attend, but funds are available to help with childcare costs. ($75 for one child, and $150 for two or more children)
