File Returning Soon – Meet “Josiah”

We’d like to introduce you to Josiah, a little boy whose smile lights up a room!

Josiah 4
Josiah is an extroverted little boy who loves being held. He is very active and he loves playing with other children and he gets along well with them. His favorite game is Hide and Seek. Josiah has been living with a foster family since he turned one year old. Josiah has Down syndrome. His file also indicates a congenital heart defect (PFO) which is a condition that rarely needs medical treatment and often resolves on its own. Josiah’s file is from one of our orphanage partnerships and is designated as Special Focus so a family at any stage of the adoption process is eligible to review his file.

Current America World families who are interested in reviewing Josiah should contact their Family Coordinator if interested in further information. Josiah’s file is only with us until Feb. 29th so a family would need to begin reviewing his file soon. Families not currently in the process of adopting with America World should fill out a quick free PRE-APPLICATION and our Intake staff will follow up with you right away regarding the opportunity to review Josiah’s file.

You can also view other children who are waiting by visiting our website and clicking HERE. Most often, children with minor/repairable medical needs and/or very young children do not appear as often on waiting child listings as they are generally matched directly (when their files arrive) with families already in our China program & who are requesting those particular medical needs. Many young/minor medical needs children are designated by China to be matched only with families who have their paperwork already submitted to China.

Any questions about Josiah or any Waiting Child can be directed to our China staff at china@awaa.org or 800-429-3369. If your family is interested in starting an adoption process, we’d love to be of assistance to you in helping you find the child God has for your family!

**Please join us in helping advocate for Josiah by sharing this with your social networks. Together, we can find Josiah’s forever family!
