Family Resources: Telehealth
We know that this period of spending increased time together indoors with family can be a blessing for some, but we also know this may be a trigger for many children and families with a history of trauma. If you find that your family is needing an extra level of support, please know that it is okay to seek help! Here are some organizations that offer Telehealth virtual counseling and support. *
First, you can reach out to AWAA’s ACT (Adoption Coaching and Training) Program if you feel you could benefit from some trainings, support groups, or individualized coaching. This is a great program offered by America World that can provide some extra support during this time. Email act@awaa.org for more information.
There is also Chosen, a virtual resource that offers Telehealth Trauma-specific coaching, Therapeutic resources, and Case Management. You can visit their website to learn more!
The Child Mind Institute also offers Telehealth options, holds a Facebook Q&A about the Coronavirus every day, and has multiple resources specifically pertaining to COVID-19. They can be found online here!
