Ethiopia Waiting Children Ethan and Trey Need Families!

Let us introduce you to… Ethan!

Ethan is a 12 year old young man who is HIV+ and he has been waiting to be matched with is forever family for quite some time. Ethan got to come to the United States in 2013 as a part of America World’s hosting program.

One of his chaperones noted, “Ethan is very sweet. On our way back to Ethiopia, he looked out for his friend who was younger, making sure he was okay and stayed with the group. Ethan wanted to make sure he was comforted when he was sad, it was very sweet.â€

When our Transition Home psychologist was meeting with Ethan, she stated he wanted to share this little story: When Ethan was younger; he and his friends would go swimming together. One friend was supposed to stay to the side to watch their clothes but instead decided he would leave the group and take all of their clothes with him! Ethan said this was a really funny memory to him. We thought this was a sweet little story that gives you a glimpse of his sense of humor and personality.

Let us introduce you to… Trey!

Trey is 11 years old and also HIV+. He is anxiously waiting for the day that he gets to be united with his forever family. He loves to play soccer and shows great interest and passion for all physical activities that he gets to do. He plays well with other children and appears to be a stable and calm child.

Our staff noted that Trey is generally a bit shy and reserved at first but once he feels comfortable he can easily find friends.
