Entrusted Conference 2019: Chesapeake, Virginia

From one of our America World Home Study Coordinators in Virginia, Lyn Briscoe:

Last November in conjunction with my job as home study coordinator for America World, I was asked to staff America World’s booth at the Entrusted Conference. I jumped at the chance to go since the workshops would count as training hours for me, plus, I could bring my husband and we could both benefit from the encouragement and fellowship of other adoptive parents.

The conference exceeded our expectations! It is always encouraging to be surrounded by like-minded people who understand what it is like to parent kids from hard places. The Entrusted Conference is faith-based, and we enjoyed times of worship and prayer, encouraging speakers, and great snacks.

As a bonus, they gave away tons of door prizes. I am one of those people who never seem to win anything, and that weekend was no exception. However, my husband won a free balloon flight!
