“Day of Hope”: A Recap of the Day

Day of Hope 2014
America World's Day of Hope 2014 has wrapped up and most of the staff has left the office. We were grateful to talk to so many of you today to catch up, update your contact information, and share opportunities for you to join us in the Day of Hope fundraising.

We know we were not able to connect with all of you and, in fact, chose not to reach out to those of you who are still in the process of adopting since many of you are currently funding your own adoptions.  We also know that there are many of you who were not at home when we called, and others who are in other time zones and still have daylight left.  Our Day of Hope fundraiser will continue through the end of the year, December 31, for those who want more time to consider your giving options.

Our final donations today were $40,917 which was all matched by an anonymous donor dollar-to-dollar.  With the match, we reached $81,834 or 68% of our goal of $120,000! Although we did not meet our goal today, we still believe we can do so by December 31st. The 3 important initiatives that we are focused on still need funded and we are not giving up. Please continue sharing this project with your friends, family and church.  Some of you have even approached your employers who have willingly contributed to Day of Hope.  All donations are tax-deductible gifts.

5 PM update

A big thank you to all who have donated, reposted/shared, and prayed.  For those who wish to still donate, your donations will continue to be matched dollar-for-dollar through December 31st (over $19,000 left to match)!
