I am looking forward to joining a few staff at the Christian Alliance For Orphans Summit in Minneapolis this week. In the past these Summit Meetings have been a great way for adoptive parents, church ministries, agencies and orphan care organizations to establish partnerships, learn from one-another and be encouraged by all that God is doing in and through the Church on behalf of orphans.
Our agency will have a booth – and I am a presenter on the Inter-Country Adoption Panel. I am also looking forward to hearing from some of the headline speakers, including Pastor John Piper and my friends Tom Davis and Elizabeth Styffe. I’m looking forward to hearing from Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife, Mary Beth.
As a member of the Board of CAFO I will also be participating in a meeting to discuss the work CAFO is involved in all year long. I know some America World families will be at the Summit and I hope you’ll come find me or other staff so we can connect with you. For those who can’t join us – your prayers are appreciated. I will post a blog update after we return back.
