China Waiting Children Program November Updates -2008

America World is excited to announce that Cole, Abigal and Katie have families pursuing their adoption! In addition to families pursuing these adoptions, congratulations to the 5 families who have accepted shared referrals in the month of November! We are excited for all of these families as they have submitted their acceptance paperwork and are closer to bringing their children home.
America World only has two more weeks with Andrew’s referral. Therefore If there if no family is pursuing his adoption by Friday December 5th, we will return his referral to the CCAA. Please read below to see a brief biography. Photos and more information can be viewed by going to the waiting children website or contacting a Family Coordinator.  Thank you for your continued payers on behalf of Andrew.
The following America World assigned referrals are available for review. • New Referral: Carter is an extroverted 9 year old boy who is a Hepatitis B carrier. Carter is an above-average student who listens well to his teachers and obeys the rules.
• New Referral: Katrina is a polite and artistic  8 ½ year old girl who has a repaired cleft lip and palate. She was diagnosed with mild anemia and is Hepatitis B positive. Katrina is an attentive student who loves English, math, and Chinese
• New Referral Gabriella is a 5 ½ year-old girl who has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy.   Her caretakers describer her as outgoing. She loves to listen to music and dance
• New Referral: Erik is a 3 year-old boy who has a congenital heart defect.   His caretakers describe him a shy and quite boy who is a deep sleeper
• New Referral: Carson is almost 11 years old and has a deformity of both feet that has been operated on.   His caretakers describe him as happy and outgoing. He is a good helper and gets along well with others
• Ryan is a talkative boy with post operative spinal cord eversion. He likes to communicate with others and read stories to the younger children. •
• Timothy is a clever and polite boy  5 ½ year old boy who is deaf and has repaired cleft palate. He is described as being well liked by everyone and good at learning sign language very quickly.
• Hosea is a charming 8 year old boy who has repaired spina bifida. He often offers to help with chores and can help take care of himself.
• Clark is a 3 ½ year old boy who is diagnosed as having cerebral palsy and also a possible brain condition. He enjoys playing with toys and his favorite activity is being cuddled by his caretaker.
• Joel is a 9 year old boy who has heart disease.  He is described as funny and clever.  He likes singing, sports, and playing outside.
• Monthly Prayer Focus: Andrew is an active 6 year old boy. He has been diagnosed with congenital exophthalmoses (protrusion of the eyeballs) and is reportedly normal in intellectual and physical development.
• Evan is a artistic and creative 11 ½  year old boy who has a deformity of both feet.  He is described as fun-loving and clever.
• Brady is an active and energetic 9 ½  year old boy.  He loves to watch cartoons and build things.  Brady is hearing impaired.
• Henry is a sweet and shy 5 year old boy who has severe hearing loss in both ears.  He is learning sign language and loves dressing himself.
• Andre is an active 9 year old boy.  He is diagnosed as having “post-operative bilateral renal pelvis and ureter stenosis plasty†and ametropia of both eyes.  Andre “loves life†and nature
• Joey is an independent and shy 4 year old boy. He has received surgeries to repair both his cleft lip and palate, and also has scoliosis.  Joey loves music!
• Connor is an athletic and healthy 12 year old boy.  He is an actively involved student; he gets along with his other classmates and is respectful of his teachers.
• Hannah is a happy 10 year old girl who has been diagnosed with post-operative hydronephrosis and also has a “lazy†left eye. She is described as obedient, shy, sensible, and polite.
• Amelia is a charming 8 year old girl who has been diagnosed with scoliosis and repaired spina bifida. While her diagnosis is severe, she is a strong and active girl.
