China Waiting Child: Happy, Healthy, “Vera”

Vera is described as an active, extroverted, lovely, 5-year-old girl who works hard and is curious about the world around her.  Upon initial examination, she was diagnosed with Down syndrome but found to be in good health with excellent physical development.  Vera listens and watches carefully, understands instructions well, and works hard to accomplish what she’s asked to do.  When she doesn’t succeed the first time, she is persistent and tries again repeatedly, laughing happily when she does well!

Vera also gets along well with other children and is often giggling and laughing with her friends.  She runs steadily and can feed herself, drink from a cup, and go up and down stairs independently.  She has a good appetite and is a happy child, but she sometimes cries in the night.  Vera is fond of music, games, slides, and playing with bottles and dolls.

Please take a few minutes to consider how God would have you be a part of helping this precious child, whether that is through praying, advocating, or inquiring to learn more.
