China Waiting Child: Meet Richard
Richard is an upbeat and friendly little boy. He gets along well with other children and is willing to share his favorite toy. He listens well to his teachers at school and is a polite and adored child. He pays attention to what his teachers are instructing and likes to play with a ball, blocks, and enjoys drawing.
He is receiving therapy and is making progress in language and motor development. He is developing good daily living habits and takes pride in doing things well and being praised by the nannies. He helps put away toys and has become the teacher’s helper.
Richard has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and developmental delays. He has limited mobility of his left arm and both legs. He works hard and finds ways to complete tasks, despite his limited mobility.
Richard’s file is designated by the CCCWA as Special Focus. She is an agency file from one of our previous orphanage partnerships and a family can learn more by contacting our team at China@awaa.org.
Are you considering another adoptive country? Right now there are 134 children on our Waiting Child photo listing pages from China alone, who need a forever family. Children from India and Haiti are waiting as well for their forever families.
