China Waiting Child: Meet “Little Foodie, Handsome Boy” Hayes
Hayes is a precious little boy with bright eyes and a sweet, ready smile. The orphanage staff who works with him notes that he loves to eat, and they call him a “little foodie, handsome boy”. He is shy and clever, and he loves to listen to music and play with toys that make sounds.
Hayes has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and he uses mainly his left side for accomplishing tasks. He is able to understand caregivers’ instructions and respond appropriately. An update to his file shares that he is able to walk, care for himself and communicate well, and he is a smart and capable student! His teachers say that he loves to think and answer questions, and he enjoys helping the other children as well.
