China Program Referral Update

April Referrals
America World is pleased to announce that we received 2 China program referrals today! Families receiving referrals were logged into the CCAA on April 14, 2006 (AWAA Group 259).  Please join us in congratulating these families, and in praying for them as they prepare to travel!

Dates Matched as of April 6th 2010
The CCAA has matched dossiers through April 17th, 2006.

Next AWAA Group To Receive a Referral
America World’s next group anticipating a referral is group 260 who have a LID (log in date) of 4/24/2006.  We do not know how many LID dates the CCAA will process in their next group of referrals. The average processing timeframes is 2-6 LID dates every month, however with this group the CCAA processed 11 days of which 4 days were weekend days and therefore presumably did not have dossiers logged in on those dates. The CCAA does not guarantee processing timeframes.

Current Wait Time
The current wait time from LID to referral is 48-49 months with a trend of increasing from a half a month to a full month each month. Families should read the China Program Newsletter emailed on 3/10/2010 to understand the variety of factors contributing to the wait time and the reasons why it is impossible to predict the referral wait time for each family. Families should continue to anticipate a long wait for a referral.

Any family interested in pursuing a concurrent adoption or the Waiting Children program should contact their Family Coordinator for more information. There are many concurrent adoption options that are available while a family’s dossier is waiting to be matched.  America World’s Waiting Children program is also an excellent option for families who are interested in a boy, an older child, or a child with various types of medical or repaired conditions.
