Adopted Boy Advocating for Friend Still in China

It is both humbling and exciting to see a child who was previously an orphan, now advocating for his friend in China, who is still without a family.

Advocating for Waiting Children is a team effort and today, we wanted to highlight a very special advocate named Liam Forry. Liam is almost 12 years old and was adopted by an America World family just 3 years ago. If you’d like to read more about his story, you can visit a previous blog post we shared here. In the photo above, Liam (L) and Eli (R) when they lived together in the orphanage.

Liam’s mother recently shared with us that Liam is praying for and actively advocating amongst friends and family in hopes of finding a family for his friend, Eli, a 12-year-old-boy from the same orphanage where Liam once lived. To read more about Eli, please click here.

We are so encouraged and challenged by Liam’s heart, care, and desire to see his friend adopted and to know the love of a family. We ask that you would join us, and Liam, in sharing Eli’s story. We greatly appreciate those who partner with us by sharing each child’s story, whether it’s through networks of friends and family, churches, or social media.

We’ve heard countless stories of unexpected ways that a child’s forever family first saw a photo or heard a story that led them to begin the adoption process. We love hearing how others are joining us in this important work.

Please take a few minutes to consider how God would have you be a part of helping Eli, whether that is through praying, advocating, or inquiring to learn more.

You can learn more about the process of adopting from China on our China overview page as well as learn about eligibility requirements for a China adoption.
