CEO Travels This Week
I am writing this blog from San Salvador. I am continuing to follow-up on meetings with the Salvadorian government and continuing to advocate for adoptive families. I had a meeting this morning with the Director of OPA. It was a nice meeting and I believe she wants to see El Salvador's children find permanent homes. I am meeting later with a member of the Assembly (similar to our Congress) to discuss some drafted legislation that is being considered by El Salvador which will greatly impact orphans and the adoption process. It is an interesting time in El Salvador as they're transitioning their government. Let's be in prayer that God will raise up leaders who care and act on behalf of the children here who need permanent families.
I am also heading to Honduras to meet with our government, the Honduran government officials that oversee adoption and with the non-profit I've worked with in Tegucigalpa. It is going to be a busy few days, but I pray also very worthwhile.
I'm looking forward to being back in the office on Friday and having a full week in the office next week – it'll be nice to see staff, catch up on my email and not live out of my suitcase! Thanks for all your prayers; I'm joining you in prayer for these governments.
Sincerely,
Brian
