CEO Note – Thank you for Praying
I’m so
encouraged by the number of families, Christian orphan advocates and staff who
told us they joined in our 3-day Esther fast. I know of ways in which God
has responded to our prayers and believe He will continue to respond in the
weeks and months to come. Thank you for those who joined us in prayer
during this time. As always, families are welcome to email or call us
with your prayer requests and we will confidentially keep you in prayer during
our time of devotions each workday.
I’m looking
forward to the upcoming Christian Alliance For Orphans Summit in Nashville this
May. I know a number of adoptive families will be there and I am looking
forward to meeting many families and participating in the conference. It’s not too late to sign up!
I know this
coming week is “spring break†for many families with school-aged kids and, for
many of us, we consider it “Holy Week†as we reflect upon Christ’s last supper,
death, burial, and resurrection. As in years past, we’ve given our staff
“Good Friday†off so that they can attend church services and/or spend the day reflecting
upon Christ’s sacrifice for us. If you’re reading this blog and think
you’d like to learn more about what Christ accomplished for us through His
death and resurrection, take the time this coming week to ask a pastor or
Christian friend more information about this and what it means to be a
Christian. It’s the most important decision I made and is part of how I
became adopted into God’s family.
