Center for Adoption Support and Education

For almost ten years, The Center for Adoption Support and Education (CASE), located in Maryland, has
provided a range of specialized counseling, educational and support services to adoptive families from a variety of adoption experiences. Unfortunately, these services are not widely available, and when they are, inadequate funding is often allotted to sustain such a service delivery model. CASE hopes to change this by providing the child welfare field with an empirically-based model for delivering post adoption services that can be replicated on a national scale. As a result, CASE has partnered with Social Dynamics, LLC, to design and implement a rigorous evaluation study, an eighteen-month longitudinal data collection process, to assess the clinical efficacy of CASE‘s “Therapeutic Adoption Program†and its impact on the social and emotional well being of adopted children and their families.
