Celebrating the New Year, Ethiopian Style!

Last week our Ethiopian staff and the children at the Transition Home celebrated Ethiopian New Year! The children sang songs and received gifts to celebrate. Later in the day, the toddlers and older children were able to visit a restaurant in Addis, which is exciting for them as it is not something they get to do very often. They ate cake and ice cream, were dressed in traditional wear, and danced in the restaurant. One of our staff members noted, “We all danced and had an astonishing and memorable holiday with the children!†We hope you enjoy the pictures.
