America World Haiti Accreditation Renewed

HaitiAWAA is thrilled to announce that we have been re-accredited by the IBESR as an authorized adoption service provider in Haiti for another 2 years, October 2014 – September 2016.  On Friday afternoon, December 19th the IBESR released a memorandum announcing the list of agencies worldwide that have been approved to process adoptions in Haiti. Below is an excerpt from the memorandum.

 

“Under the authority of Mrs Arielle Jeanty Villedrouin, General Manager of Institut du Bien-Etre Social et de Recherches (IBESR), please find enclosed the Memorandum publishing the list of accredited Adoption Agencies authorized to operate in Haiti as international adoption provider for the period from October 2014 to September 2016. Please accept congratulations by IBESR’s team who, together with Haiti Children and its General Manager, send you its best wishes for Christmas 2014 and New Year 2015.”

Memorandum

1- The authorization to operate in Haiti as international adoption provider is delivered to the following Adoption Agencies :

    United States (18):

    1. A Love Beyond Borders
    2. Adoption-Link
    3. All Blessings International
    4. All God's Children
    5. America World Adoption
    6. Bethany Christian Service
    7. Building Arizona Families
    8. Carolina Adoption Services
    9. Chinese Children Adoption International
    10. Children's Connection
    11. Children of all Nations
    12. European Adoption Services Consultants
    13. Holt International
    14. Lifeline Children's Services
    15. MLJ Adoptions
    16. Nightlight Christian Services
    17. Wasatch
    18. Wacap

Additional provisions in the memorandum

  1. 2- Quota per accredited adoption agency, not including adoption requests for special needs children or inter family adoption, is one dossier per month for the period between October 2014 until September 2016
  2. 3- Each accredited adoption agency can, on top of the planned quota of article 2, send a maximum of five (5) additional dossiers regarding  adoption request of special needs and/or inter family adoption per fiscal year  comprised between October to September for the 2014/2016 time frame
  3. 4- Accredited adoption agencies whose accreditation renewal’s request has been approved for the period from October 2014 to September 2016, will be invited to sign an agreement protocol and to get their accreditation license from January 19, 2015.
  4. 5- Accredited adoption agencies whose accreditation renewal’s request is not approved for the period from October 2014 to September 2016 but who have pending dossiers at IBESR or in front of the Courts, will receive a special authorization from IBESR  mentioning the conditions and limits of their operations in Haiti until the finalization of the said dossiers.

Haiti central authority reserves the right to modify these list and provisions in the conditions defined by the law of August 29, 2013
