America World Families: Connections across the years
Summers have become a great time for many families to connect with travel groups and other AWAA families. The Pilato, Sparks and Myers family recently got together with their beautiful children and shared the following with us:
We were tremendously blessed by the Lord to have the opportunity to come together at the Sparks home in Ohio at the end of July. It was the first time the three families were together since Christmas Eve 2013 in Guangzhou when we parted ways to fly home. It was time of reconnection, reminiscing and blessing one another with our very unique and very anointed friendship. We are amazed thinking how God orchestrated such a beautiful friendship and connection between the parents and between all the children almost 4 years ago all the way across the world! Adoption is so deep, so powerful, so raw and so beautiful in so many ways and our friendship is one of them! Thank you so much for all the hard work you did for our families to bring our children home and having a hand in the beautiful friendships that have formed because of it!
They say a picture says a thousand words. These pictures speaks much more than that. It speaks of thousands of miles, thousands of papers, thousands of fears, thousands of appointments, thousands of tears, thousands of hugs, thousands of texts, thousands of prayers, thousand of redos, thousands of cries for help, thousands of I am here for you, thousands of moments connecting, thousands of moments walking side by side, thousands of times trying, thousands of times picking ourselves up to do it again and again. This pictures is worth much more than a thousand words, It’s an answered calling, a gift, a treasured moment of sweet friends that were made together far across the other side of the world long before their mamas and babas found them! Jesus is the ultimate weaver of hearts…for this I am thankful….
