Advocate Today: Update on 3-Year Old, “Joshua”

We have been advocating for Joshua to be placed in a family for quite some time. Joshua is a precious 3-year old boy who is blind. He likes to be tickled and smiles easily! Due to his vision condition, Joshua may have developmental delays and needs a family to give him one-on-one attention.

We recently had a Storyteller Missions team visit the Joshua’s orphanage and spend time with him. The team reported that he can walk and plays independently and is receiving physical therapy at the orphanage. Updated photos are now on his Waiting Child page, including the one above.

Joshua is at one of our orphanage partnerships and is designated as Special Focus so a family at any stage of the process is eligible to review his file.

A grant is available to the family pursuing Joshua's adoption.

Families who are not currently in the process of adopting with America World should fill out a  free PRE-APPLICATION and our Intake staff will follow up with you right away.

Any questions about “Joshua” or any Waiting Child can be directed to our China staff at WaitingChildren@awaa.org or 800-429-2269.
