Advocate Today: 8-Year Old “Riley”
We introduced you to “Riley” a few weeks ago and continue to advocate for him. He is a very active and outgoing boy who loves playing with other children and has a lot of energy. “Riley” has been diagnosed with weak eyesight and a lazy eye. He also underwent surgery for a hernia.
An America World Storyteller team visited this orphanage in June 2015 and spent a lot of time with “Riley”. Our Storyteller team noted that “Riley” likes to play with the babies and he enjoys helping other children. The team noted that “Riley” is a very curious boy and he has a speech delay, but he follows directions well.
We have updated information and photos on “Riley” and we can connect anyone reviewing his file with Storyteller team members who have met him.
“Riley” is on the CCCWA's shared list. He is designated by the CCCWA as a Special Focus child and he is not from one of our agency’s orphanage partnerships. A family at any stage of the process is eligible to review this file.
Current America World families who are interested in making “Riley” a part of their family through adoption should contact their Family Coordinator about him.
Families who are not currently in the process of adopting with America World should fill out a free PRE-APPLICATION and our Intake staff will follow up with you right away.
Any questions about “Riley” or any Waiting Child can be directed to our China staff at WaitingChildren@awaa.org or 800-429-2269.
