Advocate Today: 7-Year Old, “Preston”
“Preston” was added to our China Waiting Child list just a couple of weeks ago and we believe there is a family who would be a great match with “Preston”. Please help us advocate for him by sharing his story on social media and praying for him.
He is a sweet boy with a big smile. “Preston” has been diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy. He is in physical and speech therapy and his speech, though delayed, is much improved.
An America World Storyteller team visited this orphanage in June 2015 and spent a lot of time with “Preston”. Our Storyteller team noted that “Preston” is very high functioning and well behaved and he enjoys helping other children.
“Preston” also enjoys drawing pictures and playing basketball. We have updated information and photos on “Preston” and we can connect anyone reviewing his file with Storyteller Mission team members who have met him.
“Preston” is on the CCCWA's shared list. He is designated by the CCCWA as a Special Focus child and he is not from one of our agency’s orphanage partnerships. A family at any stage of the process is eligible to review this file.
Current America World families who are interested in learning more about making “Preston” a part of their family should contact their Family Coordinator about him.
Families who are not currently in the process of adopting with America World should fill out a free PRE-APPLICATION and our Intake staff will follow up with you right away.
Any questions about “Preston” or any Waiting Child can be directed to our China staff at WaitingChildren@awaa.org or 800-429-2269.
