Advocate Today: 3-Year Old “Elijah”

“Elijah” is an active and smiling little boy. He loves playing with toys and being with his caretakers. 

He was diagnosed with minor hydrocephalus and spina bifida. “Elijah” had surgery for his spina bifida on March 22, 2012. He had shunt surgery for his hydrocephalus on July 9, 2012. “Elijah” has recovered well from his surgeries and his caretakers note that his mental development is normal but his speech is delayed. 

“Elijah” is on the CCCWA's shared list. He is designated by the CCCWA as a Special Focus file and he is from one of our agency’s orphanage partnerships. A family at any stage of the process is eligible to review this file.

Current America World families who are interested in adopting “Elijah” into their family should contact their Family Coordinator about him.
