Advocate for 8-Year-Old, “Miley”

Miley is described as an active, passionate, and positive little girl. Not only does she care for herself well, getting dressed, eating, and washing her face independently, but she loves to help adults with household chores, such as cleaning the table, setting out bowls and chairs, and helping to fold laundry.

Miley is well-liked by her classmates and teachers, who note that she is very positive in school, always interested in new things, and gets along well with others. She enjoys reading books and drawing, but she especially loves music, singing, and dancing!

Miley has been diagnosed with down syndrome and peripheral artery disease with slight left ventricular hypertrophy; her file notes that she has good physical and mental development and loves being outdoors and playing with stuffed animals.
