Advocate for 8-Year-Old, “Colton”

Colton is an adorable, extroverted little boy who is well-liked by all around him! He enjoys helping his caretakers, setting and clearing the table and folding clothes, and he is able to feed himself, wash his face, brush his teeth, & dress with assistance.

His caretakers note that he is a good student with a positive outlook and works hard to please his teachers. He enjoys drawing, reading, and playing with blocks and balls, and he is a big fan of Spiderman!

Colton has been diagnosed with Down syndrome and congenital heart defect with atrial septal defect repair; he is noted to have good physical and mental development and to express himself well.  An update to Colton’s file notes that he is currently in a foster home, and he is an interactive and active little boy who follows directions and is progressing well in school (learning Chinese, simple math, daily knowledge, and drawing).
