Support Group for Adopted Girls, Ages 10-14

Do you have a daughter age 10-14 years?  Like most girls that age, does she struggle with relationships, identity, and independence as she teeters on this edge between childhood and being a teenager?  For me personally, I think being a junior high girl was one of the hardest times in my life, and I see it in my daughter and my friends’ daughters as well.

There is an added layer of difficulty when you intertwine some adoption stories:

Who are my birth parents?

Why could they not raise me?

Why does my story have to be so different than my friends’?

We want to stand by you as you parent your girls through this challenging life stage.   We are bringing together adopted girls from across the nation on Thursday nights at 9:00 pm EST (8 CST, 7 MTN, 6 PST) by video conference to connect, share, laugh, and cry together, under the leadership of an experienced adoption professional who guides the girls in Christian love and understanding.

The cost of the group is $25/session, payable in 3 session increments.  Registration and payment for the session is due by 5:00 pm EST the day prior to a child’s first session, but we strongly encourage you to reach out to us sooner so we have ample time to schedule a parent introductory call.  Email ACT@awaa.org, or call 800-429-3369, for more information.
