A Letter of Thanks

Do you remember getting writing assignments in grade school that asked what you are thankful for? Maybe your children have been asked to write or illustrate something they are thankful for during this season of Thanksgiving. What was said? Surely we all have much to be thankful for – our families, friends, religious freedoms, shelter, and so much more. It's a wonderful thing to pause from the busy pace of life and reflect on our blessings.

We received an email from adoptive dad and ACT leader Joe Wilson. The Wilsons, pictured above, adopted  their daughter Klaire through our China program. Below is her Thanksgiving writing assignment, which truly puts thankfulness in perspective. Thank you for sharing, Klaire!

You can partner with America World in creating more stories like this for children in need of families by donating to our #GivingTuesday campaign. 100% of all donations will be used toward meeting the basic needs of orphaned and vulnerable children.
