A Few Changes at AWAA
Congratulations to the families that received referrals last week!
Amanda Lawrence has worked for our agency for five years – and she is taking on a new role with our sister organization, Visiting Orphans. Her new role will enable her to focus on her passion for short-term mission trips and will allow her to continue ministering to orphans in a new capacity. Although we’re sad to see her leave AWAA, we’re glad to know she is still working alongside us. This is a great time to check out Visiting Orphans’ website and see if there is a trip or partnership opportunity that’s right for you.
The previous director of Visiting Orphans, Dave Rathbone, will be attending graduate school this Fall. His presence in our office will be missed, but we’re happy for him as he pursues this new stage in life.
The Rwanda Program is also changing. Ryan Hanlon will be focusing more on program development, and Terra Bailey & Caitlin Edwards will be working directly with families in this program. Anna Graham will have the role of supervising this program.
Despite these changes – our mission remains the same: To help build families according to God’s design of adoption. At whatever stage you’re in for your adoption, we hope you’re encouraged to be following God’s leading on this journey.
Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do good; seek justice, reprove the ruthless, defend the orphan, plead for the widow.
