National Adoption Month
What is National Adoption Month?
National adoption month is an initiative meant to increase national awareness and bring attention to the need for permanent families for orphaned children around the world.
Ways to get involved:
Highlight child sponsorship at your church.
You can visit America World Sponsorship pages to view profiles of children who need the support of a sponsor to grow and thrive. Not everyone is called to adopt, but sponsorship is a great step for many families.
You can also partner directly with an orphanage to provide life-changing support for the children who live there.
Launch an adoption fund at your church in partnership with Lifesong for Orphans.
Share how the fund will be used to support families in the process. Consider highlighting families who have adopted and allow them to testify about how adoption grants and funds can greatly bless a family in the adoption process. Contact Lifesong for Orphans today!
Advocate for children waiting to be adopted.
During the month of November, you can elect to receive daily emails from AWAA featuring children who are waiting for their forever families. You can share this with your church family and ask them to pray for these precious children or even consider adopting a waiting child. Email Erica.Ho@awaa.org to be added to this special email list.
Request Adoption Information packets to make available to families who may be called to adopt during the month of November.
